Boost Up Your Videos with Lower Pop

Written by Published in User Guide

Lower thirds are one of the cleanest and easiest ways to deliver information to your audience. Well, they’re certainly simple. But creating them isn’t always easy. That’s why we all love useful final cut pro plugins to streamline our creative processes.

Sprinkling lower thirds throughout your projects gives them a professional look and feel that’s hard to replicate, but getting the lower thirds just right is tricky. Messing up can make your project look sloppy and amateurish.

But on the flipside, well-executed lower thirds, well…they’re something to behold. Just look at how Qualtrics uses lower thirds to introduce speakers throughout this video:

What is Lower Pop?

In total, Lower Pop is a sweet collection of 20 pro-quality, customizable FCP lower thirds titles built for HD.

Lower Pop features exciting title categories for every video, like:

  • Food
  • Health
  • Modern
  • News
  • Sports
  • Tech
  • Travel
  • And more!

No matter what your project is about, odds are Lower Pop has what you need to make your video pop.

Why Lower Pop?

Lower Pop is really cool, but that’s not why I made it. The 3 biggest reasons why I created the plugin (and why you might love Lower Pop, too) are:

  1. I just didn’t have the time to keep making new lower thirds titles for each video, and I didn’t want to part with my hard-earned cash on one-off freelancer jobs over and over again
  2. I wanted my videos to look like I had a Hollywood budget…without actually having a Hollywood budget
  3. I was sick of using other plugins that either didn’t work, or required a separate college degree to figure out

Lower Pop wound up saving me so much time that I had to buy a second watch to keep track of it all. I know lower thirds don’t sound as sexy as something like cool effects or exciting transitions, but I promise you it’s one of the most useful tools in my editing toolkit.

Installing and using Lower Pop won’t raise your blood pressure

The best way to experience Lower Pop for yourself is by getting the free demo, and the easiest way to do that is by downloading Stupid Raisins (also free).

After you realize how cool Lower Pop is and you’re addicted to dropping sweet lower thirds titles into your videos, you can grab the full version straight from Stupid Raisins. You’ll find it under your Titles, with the category name Lower Pop.

Once the plugin is ready to go, you can get started with quick drag and drop right into your timeline. From there, you’ll see the lightning-fast and stupid-easy customization controls, and in seconds you’ll be enjoying clean, professional lower thirds in your videos.
