Bubble Pop Help

Written by Published in User Guide

Bubble Pop lets you add animated speech and thought bubbles to your Final Cut Pro videos—fast, fun, and with zero keyframes. Whether you’re adding a witty one-liner, an inner monologue, or some comic relief, Bubble Pop gives your footage something to say.

General Workflow

Here’s how to use Bubble Pop in just four easy steps:

  1. Drag and drop your bubble into the timeline.
  2. Add your text.
  3. Customize the look and feel.
  4. All done!

Seriously. That’s it.

Tip

Turn on Float Animation (Up & Down, Rotation) to make your bubbles gently drift around like they’ve got somewhere better to be.

What’s in the Box?

  • Speech Bubbles – Great for dialogue, narration, or fake subtitles.
  • Thought Bubbles – For inner thoughts, regrets, or awkward silence.
  • Action Bubbles – Add punchy emphasis or comic-book style flair.
  • Custom Bubbles – Sculpt your own shape with draggable points.

Each one is fully customizable. You can adjust color, size, shape, animation, and more—all right inside Final Cut Pro.

Published Parameters

You’ll find all the controls you need in the Title Inspector:

  • Text Controls – Edit the message, change the font, size, and color.
  • Animations – Choose fade or slide animations for in and out, and even mix them.
  • Float Settings – Enable gentle rotation or up/down movement and control how fast or floaty it feels.
  • Bubble Options – Flip the bubble, adjust roundness, tweak opacity for the whole thing or just the fill.
  • Outline Settings – Set outline color, width, opacity, and layering (above or below the bubble).
  • Drop Shadow – Add a shadow and fine-tune the color, opacity, blur, distance, and angle.
  • Custom Shape Controls – (For Custom Bubbles only) Use the drag handles to mold your own shape.

On‑Screen Controls

Each bubble comes with built-in drag controls for quick customization:

  • Position – Move the bubble around your frame.
  • Rotation – Tilt it for dramatic effect or comedic timing.
  • Scale – Make it bigger or smaller.
  • Custom Points – For custom bubbles, drag the shape to your liking.

When to Use

Any time your video needs words, thoughts, or weird noises—Bubble Pop is there:

  • YouTube vlogs, interviews, reactions
  • How-tos, recipes, and reviews
  • Skits, commentary, educational videos
  • Product promos, client videos, corporate edits
  • Or your cat’s internal dialogue. No judgment.

Troubleshooting

My bubble vanished!
Make sure it’s not floating off-screen. Check your float settings and opacity sliders.

Animations not behaving?
Try enabling one animation at a time to isolate the issue, then reintroduce others.

Custom bubble looks warped?
Reset the points and adjust gently. You’re bending space-time—treat it delicately.

Shadow looks off?
Adjust blur and distance until it plays nice with your video’s lighting.
